I have left deviantART because I cannot agree to the most recent submission agreement.

Although the artist retains ownership of their work under the submission agreement, it gives deviantART permission to do almost anything with it, and without requiring additional consent. Some argue that the agreement is necessary to protect deviantART, and it is true that deviantART needs some type of agreement for legal protection, but the current agreement provides powers to deviantART that could be abused without providing protection to the artist. I cannot be part of a "community" that demands its own protection while refusing to protect the rights of its members.
